Earvin "Magic" Johnson was one of the greatest NBA point guards of all-time. He was named league MVP three times. He is second in the NBA in assists. 1n 1992 his career came to an end. He retired after he tested positive for the HIV virus. Now he is promoting AIDS awareness. This shows diseases happen to the best of us.

The rules Naismith applied go on today, too. Basketball is played in over 150 countries. The object of the game is to score more points than your opponent.People needed a sport to play in the winter.
Basketball has made many developments. Men where the first ones who played it. Now women and children play it. This is a great game for anyone to play. We owe thanks to Mr. Naismith.
